Easy desserts you can cook while in college
If you have a sweet tooth, you will find that a large part of your monthly budget goes into buying chocolates, cookies, and pastries. Eating desserts with every meal that you have with your friends outside the campus can put a severe drain in your resources. It is a fact that cooking desserts in your dorm room can be very difficult especially when you do not have an oven. Thankfully, there are many dessert recipes that can be prepared quickly without much effort. Here are some easy desserts you can cook while in college.
Watermelon cake
If you love to eat watermelon, here is a recipe made out of your favourite fruit that will satisfy the urge for a delicious dessert. Watermelon cake is a wonderful dessert that can be prepared inside your door room in just a few minutes with the help of just a few ingredients. Just sprinkle pieces of sliced almonds, other fruits, and whipped cream over watermelon and you are ready to eat your watermelon cake. This quickly prepared dessert tastes wonderful and satisfies your craving for something sweet.
Oreo icebox cake
If Oreo is your favourite cookie, you can make a delicious dessert in your dorm room within minutes. Just soak your Oreo biscuits in a cup of milk and add a butt load of cool whip to the mixture to prepare a wonderfully tasting cake. Your friends will fall in love with this cake praise you for your cooking abilities.
Apple pie
Take two apples, core them, and fill in a sugary mixture made of sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. To make your pie tastier, you can apply a spoonful of butter on the apples. Now place the apples inside a microwave and heat them for 3-4 minutes. Take out when they are tender and allow them to cool for 10-15 minutes. You delicious apple pie is ready to enjoy with your friends.
Crispy rice candy
Take rice cereal, peanuts, marshmallows and peanut butter inside a large bowl. Stir the ingredients briskly to get a consistent mixture. Now cook some chocolate in a bowl inside a microwave, churning it a few times in between to make sure that it is smooth. Take out this chocolate and mix it with the ingredients you have in the bowl. This mixture is a little bit runny. Drop a tablespoonful of this mixture on waxed paper and allow it to set until it is firm. Now keep them inside a refrigerator for 2 hours. Your crispy rice candy is ready to enjoy.
Chocolate fudge
To make chocolate fudge, you will need 16 ounces of chocolate, 14 ounces of condensed milk, 2 teaspoonful vanilla extract, and 1-5 cups of chopped walnuts. Take a square bowl and line it with aluminium foil. Chop your chocolate into pieces and put them inside microwave along with condensed milk. Stir them with a spoon once or twice in between to make sure you get a smooth mixture. Take out from the microwave after 3 minutes add vanilla and walnuts and stir the mixture vigorously. Put the prepared fudge inside refrigerator and allow it to set and cool down. Once it has set, cut into 2 inch squares and eat them.
Banana pudding
Take sour cream, whipped topping, milk, and pudding mix ina bowl and stir the mixture. Put a layer of cookies in a bowl; add a layer of pudding mixture, and finally a layer of bananas. Add another three layers in the same order. Put the bowl in a refrigerator and allow it set. Take out form the fridge, place wafer cookies at the top and serve your delicious banana pudding.
