Casa Bocobo is located at United Nations Avenue in Ermita. It’s non-pretentious and is everything you expect from a cheap (budget) hotel. Though it is basic, it is very clean and the staff are nice.

One tip: Ask for a room on the Bocobo street side. It’s more quiet than the main road the hotel is situated on. It’s also away from the blaring Karaoke and the irrepressible rooster that some guests say won’t stop crowing.

The hotel itself is near malls (Robinson’s Place Manila, SM Manila, SM Mall of Asia) and establishments (SMX, CCP, etc). It’s also about 12 kilometers from the airport (but that really doesn’t matter during rush hour. If you’re going to the airport for a flight, make sure that you leave the hotel at least 4 hours before your flight).

It has Wifi in the rooms and in common areas. There are two computer stations for guests who may not have a laptop but need to check on emails and Facebook. They rent it out for 50 pesos an hour. Breakfast is also included in their tariff. Their suites have a kitchenette that includes a fridge, an electric kettle and a microwave.

Rates start at Php 1800 for a single standard room. A standard twin Php 2200 while a standard double is Php 1900 (single) and Php 2000 for a double. Their suites start off at Php 2800 to Php 4000.
