Buntun Bridge – Tuguegarao City
If you’re heading North and wondering what is there to photograph, we highly suggest that you take photos of the Buntun bridge.
The Buntun bridge is the country’s longest river bridge but is the second longest bridge, the first being the San Juanico, of course. This bridge is a little over 2 kilometers and gives you a beautiful view of the Cagayan river – the country’s widest and longest river.
We suggest hiring a calesa to cross it, just so you can enjoy the view. Driving with a vehicle across it makes the trip quite short and “bitin”. On the Tuguegarao side, you’ll see the town sign of Solano. It’s kind of funny to see an underscore after it – like it were an email address.
Stop at the other end of the bridge and take the rocky path going to the bottom of the bridge. It’s a photographer’s playground down there – with the rice fields and a nice view of the bridge.
So, for those who say there’s nothing to see in Tuguegarao, try looking harder and you’ll see and be amazed.
