Capoeira started out as a dance that originated in Africa, it traveled to Brazil through the slave route and have transmogrified into an art form as well as a self defense strategy.
Learn the history and experience the most traditional Capoeira (Capoeira Angola) with a 4 day workshop hosted and offered by the Capoeira Angola Manila Study Group. Facilitating the workshops would be Mestre Roxinho of the Escola de Capoeira Angola Mato Rasteiro.
Master the moves and learn how to play the music and instruments of Capoeira Angola. Anyone can participate! Wear comfortable stretchy pants and a shot sleeved shirt you can tuck in. Don’t forget your water bottle and your enthusiasm!
