A different kind of a Walking Tour
Manila will always have a particular mystery to it and with the FSCC’s walking tour, you’re given another perspective on what and how Manila is.

FSCC or the Filipinas Stamp Collector’s Club tours around Manila’s historical monuments using postage stamps as a map. It’s a beautiful mix of love for philately, architecture and culture! In this day and age where you rarely get a real letter in the mail (because we prefer technology, which ironically was supposed to make it better and easier for us to connect with each other but has somehow alienated us more…but I digress), stamps have become an “endangered specie” so to speak. Coincidentally, most of the landmarks on the tour are also “endangered species” – beautiful historical landmarks that have lost their former glamor as the times rolled in.
The article is continued below this advertisement.
The tour is led by Mr. Lawrence Chan, a very dedicated philatelist and proud Filipino. His aim is to make people more aware about the hobby of stamp collecting and maybe, encourage them to start taking up the activity. The best part of this tour is that there’s no charge. All they want is for you to bring your enthusiasm and maybe spread the word.
Landmarks seen on the tour include the Metropolitan theater, The Manila Central Post office, Liwasang Bonifacio, the old customs house and the Manila City hall. Interestingly enough, it is rumored that these tours are not only attended by humans but also by ghosts as well.
